*The scene opens up in a dark room, so dark, you can’t even tell that the TV is on. We then see a light click on from off to the side of the camera, allowing us to see a little bit in front of us. There is a figure, but it’s still too dark to make out who the figure is. The figure is sitting on a bed, in a meditating position. Then a small light comes on from the opposite side of the room, allowing for more light. With all this we can see almost see everything about the figure, except his face. We can see his plain white t-shirt, his black pair of pants, and the white socks on his semi-big feet. The figure begins to speak*
Figure- In life, things happen that you don’t know why they happen, but they do. And these things sometimes are unfair, or make absolutely no sense, but that’s the way life goes. When faced with these challenges, you have to just deal with them, and they might get better. To be honest, if you tell yourself you can’t overcome the unfair events; you won’t. It’s a mental thing.
*The figure, who had moved his arms from holding up in the meditating position while talking, brings his arms back up into place. From behind him, a flash of lightning flashes from outside the window, but it didn’t last long enough for us to see who the figure is. Again, the figure brings his arms down, and puts them in his lap; as he speaks once more*
Figure- Some people take the easy way out of these situations, like pretending to have a neck injury and letting someone else deal with their problems. Some people just hide behind an object, or a person, and pray to the good Lord that everything’ll go by without trouble.
*A light from above turns on, revealing the figure on the bed to be Big D. We can now tell that the room we’re in is a hotel room. With the lights on, now the camera goes in closer to Big D’s face, as he continues his words*
Big D- I am not one of those people. When I am given a tough situation, I go face to face with it; chest to chest with it; and I kick it in the ass before it can kick me in my ass! Sometimes I will get knocked down and lose, but I make it my duty to bring as much hell to my problem as it does to me. Why? Because if you don’t try to defeat your problem, it can just keep coming back and haunt you forever!
*Big D closes his eyes and does a backwards tumble off the bed, but lands on his feet. He turns and walks over to the mini fridge in the corner of the room, and opens it up. The camera follows him, and shows that the fridge is completely empty*
Big D- You see? No food, no pop, no candy, no women; what a problem this fridge brings me! But, instead of whining and moaning about it, what will I do? I’ll show you.
*Big D shuts the fridge door, and walks back over to the bed he had been sitting on. He approaches a small desk next to the bed with a phone on it. Big D bends over, picks the phone up off the receiver, and begins to dial a number. Then he waits for a few seconds, before speaking*
Big D- Hello? Yes, I have a problem in my room. My fridge is empty. Yes, completely empty; no food, no pop, no candy, and no women! What? Yes, I know women don’t belong in fridges, they belong with ME! Ha, ha, ha, so can you fix the problem? Half an hour? Sure, I can wait. I’m in room 667. Thank you, bye.
*Big D hangs the phone up, and plops onto his bed, looking up at the ceiling*
Big D- Now, that was a little problem in life that I solved, I have a bigger one coming up. You see, I managed to pass the first round of the RingMaster Tournament and now I’m in the next round. BUT, my opponent is last year’s winner! Last year’s WINNER! What a bad position this puts me in! I’m gonna lose for sure now!
*Big D curls up into a ball, making crying sounds, rolling back and forth in a feeble position. All the rolling causes him to roll off the side of his bed, with a big SMACK! He crawls up, looking over the bed towards the camera, rubbing his forehead*
Big D- No, I’m NOT gonna lose! You see, everyone may believe that I’m gonna lose to Ash ‘cause he’s last year’s champion; but I don’t. You see, I am what the wrestling business calls a “legend.” I’ve done things in different places that will forever keep me remembered. And, I can add to my Legend name by winning this Ring Master Tournament, and knocking off the former winner! And that’s the Cold, Big D Truth!
*The scene fades with Big D sneaking back down behind the bed, out of view*
