The crowd went mental at ring-side when the picture of Zak Phenom appeared on the screen alongside the Ringmaster interviewer. The first ever Dark Carnival Wrestling world champion stood in determination when looking into the camera and listening to his fans in the arena. The backstage interviewer then began to speak asking Zak just why he came to the tournament.
Zak didn't answer straight away oddly taking a few moments to answer. He finally told the interviewer that he was the only man who was allowed to win this tournament. This tournament use to belong to the Dark Carnival Wrestling and people who were not apart of the legacy should not be allowed to enter and certainly not be allowed to win. He was going to not only with this tournament for him or the crowd, but for the DCW. He is here at the Ringmaster Tournament 2006 to keep a piece of DCW legacy alive. He's here to show his respect and and represent the federation which made him what he is today, and there is no way nobody else is going home with that all important cup.
There's much to win and an awful lot to lose said Phenom while looking darkly into the camera. He told everyone he was the past, present and future and that's what's going to make him the next Ringmaster Champion.
He then walked off to his first match which was against another tournament favourite for the win but Zak looks to beat him in the early matches. The interviewer wished to get some words from Zak on his opponent but he refused and carried on walking to the ring.

First Round: Match One:
Zak Phenom Vs. Simon Cagero
The hype was phenomenal when going into this match with the crowds having huge expectations from both men knowing they were two favourites to make it to the final of this tournament. They find themselves in the first round and one man could be leaving early, they find themselves in the very first match of the night and you can only imagine how this will open up the show of the Ringmaster Tournament 2006. The rung the bell and the crowd went into 'racket' mode when screaming and cheering both men on while looking for a great bout.
After just standing there a few seconds to let the adrenaline kick in, Phenom makes the first move by running at the middle of the ropes, jumping onto them and then springing off sending Simon down to the mat in the early goings! He caught him by surprise and this technique is one Zak has always been praised for; his speed and agility. Getting back to his feet, Zak sees him and runs towards him looking for a shoulder barge but Simon picks him up sending him flipping around and then hits a huge back breaker sending Zak to the floor! He looks for an early win but only manages to get a two!
Phenom gets pulled to his feet and then thrown into the turnbuckle! Simon then runs at him but Phenom moves making Simon hit nothing but the turnbuckle itself. The ref stands next to Zak Phenom in the other corner as Simon runs at him again, he was about to take the ref out accidentally when Zak grabbed the ref and got him out of the way! Simon turned around again and went for a spear of Zak Phenom but Zak jumped out of the way making sprint along taking out the ref who was behind Phenom at the time! The spear was shocking and Simon looked as if he had knocked the refs guts out his mouth from the power! Zak saw Simon while he was down so began kicking away at him looking to take the advantage and hopefully stay on top of him until the ref got back to his feet.
Phenom looked in control until another Ringmaster challenger The Icon began running down the ramp! The crowd wondered what he was doing with a steel chair in hand when sliding into the ring and taking out Phenom with the steel chair once he had turned around and saw him! The crowd booed away as Icon kept smashing chair shots into the back of Zak each one louder than the first! Icon finally stopped hitting him and put the chair up into the air showing the huge dint he had left in it! Zak looks out of it as Simon begins getting to his feet laughing a little while doing so from what Icon has done to the hopeless Zak. Simon goes to the second turnbuckle and Icon picks Zak up to his feet taking him over to Simon. Things didn't look bright for Zak Phenom.
Icon hoisted Zak up and placed him on top of Simon's shoulders, he then brought the dinted steel chair over and placed it in the correct position. The crowd murmured around when Simon didn't waste anytime nailing a powerbomb making Zak go neck first onto the chair! He could have broken his neck! He was out coal and the crowd went silent! Simon came back down and went for a pin when Icon helped the ref back up. It took a while but once managing to get back up, he counted for the one, two and three! The DCW legend was out of the tournament, Simon would progress but Icon has hell to pay that's for sure.
Winner: Simon Cagero via pinfall 9:57
Everyone continued to be baffled to why Icon would do something like this. Simon got to his feet and looked straight at Icon in the eye and Icon did the same. These two men could meet each other in the quarter-finals if all goes well for The Icon. With that, Simon then went backstage and EMT's rushed out to help Zak to the back. Icon stayed in the ring waiting for his next match.

A Ringmaster staff member was seen walking around with a trolley full of hardcore objects. He had a huge grin on his face when just walking down the corridor. Where was he going with all these objects and why did he have them? Was he just some strange staff member or has he been asked to do his job. It's not every day you see an ordinary staff person walk around with a trolley full of barbaric items.

The bell rang and Big D grabbed Matt from behind and hits a huge German suplex from the second turnbuckle making Matt land straight on the back of his head!
The two got back up quickly and went onto the attack with each other hitting suplex after suplex and punch after punch and the fatigue quickly began to show. The two tired men tried to carry on when suddenly the Ringmaster Tournament official theme music blasted out and out came the same staff member we saw earlier in the show with a trolley full of items in front of him. The crowd gave him a huge cheer while he grinned to the ring, both wrestlers wondering what was going on.
Putting a microphone to his lips, he tells them both that during the week they both went on saying how hardcore they were and how much damage they can do. He went onto say here at the Ringmaster Tournament, they don't like listening to words but instead like actions. Therefore they were turning the match hardcore and he screamed out to the crowd loudly saying now lets see how hardcore you can be. After that, he began throwing the items in the ring one by one and the two men weren't shy of using them. Matt Hardcore grabs the nearest object which was a dustbin lid and cracked it over the head of Big D before he could even get an item and grabs a weapon for himself. The staff member finally finished throwing the couple of items into the ring and then headed backstage leaving the trolley behind. There was at least twelve different objects in the ring and the crowd loved it.
Big D recovered from the dustbin shot quickly when Matt Hardcore came over for another shot but this time Big D dropped to the mat hitting a drop-toe-hold making all of his body smash upon a dustbin itself making him go right through it. Matt Hardcore looked a little dazed at this point so Big D took him across the ring and threw him against the turnbuckle where he began hitting kicks to the stomach repeatedly. Christopher Jones Vs. Ash
The match began at a fast pace and Christopher used his sharp speed to get the best of Ash in the early goings of the match. Chris jumped onto the second rope to get some leverage and went back hitting Ash in the face with an elbow. Things carried on not looking to good for the former Ringmaster Champion but with the huge amount of support the crowd were giving him, when was he going to make his lucky break and get into the match? The crowds favoritism towards Ash did distract Chris a little. Although he didn't receive any boos, he wasn't keen on the support Ash was being given so took his anger out on him further.
Chris picked Ash up from off the floor after a huge belly-to-belly and then took him over to the ropes. He put him against them and began hitting forearms just to tire him further. He then put him into the second turnbuckle and looked to hit a belly-to-belly from the there but Ash began battling back hyping up the crowd as he did so. He hit a few punches which finally knocked Chris down on his back. Ash then jumped off but Chris stuck his foot up in the air to boot him in the face but Ash saw it coming so stopped just before. He then grabbed the leg which was held up high and began hitting kick to his thigh! The ref tried to make him stop and when he did, Ash fell to the floor and looked to begin a figure-four leg-lock!
Chris saw this coming and was quickly scared so quickly wiggled out of the move and rolled out of the ring to the outside! First Round: Match Five:
Jeff X Vs. Justin Sane
Justin Sane would take the match off to a good start by backing Jeff X into the corner and then knocking him out the outside to show that he was not looking to mess around. But that was all he did. Jeff X quickly got back into the ring and began taking Justin Sane to his limit with wild punches and huge moves obviously showing he really was ready to get back into the ring after a while out of it. Justin kept trying to get back into the match but to no avail as Jeff X awesomely stayed in control of him striking him at any moment he moved hardly giving him a chance at all.
Jeff X showed his power when smashing Justin into the turnbuckle after a huge throw and then lifting him up high connecting with a vertical suplex high from the top rope. Justin Sane went around in pain holding his back when Jeff X once again got back onto his feet again to carry out the punishment. He went down and pulling away at Justin's arm in an arm-bar move, the pain was shown in the face of Justin while he screamed away.
He had enough of listening to his screams he was sending out so let go of the hold letting Justin just lie there a second to get himself together. Shortly after Jeff X pulled Justin to his feet and then just shook his shoulders thinking what the heck... He hit the X-Crusher on Justin making him collapse to the floor, that was certainly it.
Winner: Jeff X via pinfall 6:42
Jeff X looked in great form even with being out of wrestling for quite a large amount of time. He certainly shown he was ready for whatever the tournament throws at him.
